Beer at The Black Horse
At The Black Horse, we aim to serve quality products, and our real ale range is certainly no exception. We always stock the full range of Everards Ales (Beacon, Sunchaser, Tiger and Original). We tend also to stock all Everards Seasonal Ales while they are available (e.g. Flourish, Equinox, Three Tigers, Sleighbell). We also have at least one guest beer at almost all times (subject to conditioning time in the cellar). Popular guest beers recently have included Brains Rev James, Youngs Waggledance, Burton Bridge Bramble Stout, Bath Gem.
Our dedication to quality has led to us being a permanently-listed pub in the Good Beer Guide since we took over; being awarded Leicester CAMRA Pub of the Month; receiving reviews such as "This Victorian pub warrants a visit from anyone with a taste for good beer" - Daily Telegraph.
We were also delighted to welcome Roger Protz, editor of the Good Beer Guide, and one of Britain's most-respected beer writers, for a beer or two on his travels.
The Black Horse also serves imported Heineken and Amstel lagers, as well as Everards Smooth Mild, Carling Cold, Fosters Superchilled, Guinness and Strongbow on draught. We plan to introduce a range of more interesting bottled beers from around the world over the next couple of months. Watch this space!
Don't forget our annual Beer Festival, taking place the first weekend of July.Stay Up-to-Date
