Food at The Black Horse
The Black Horse serves lunches from Tuesday to Friday (12 to 2pm) and on Friday night (6pm to 8pm).
Our lunchtime menu offers a variety to suit all appetites, from soup, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and wraps to lasagne, steak & ale pie, cod & chips. Where possible, we prepare and cook everything ourselves, even to the point of making our own secret-recipe batter.
On Friday night, we serve 7 or 8 home-made dishes for just £6 each. The menu changes from week to week, but regular appearances are made by the likes of lasagne, braised steak, hunter's chicken, Irish stew, gammon steak, chicken curry.
The Black Horse also provides catering for one-off events such as funerals, meetings and other private parties. We are able to offer our skittle alley for an evening with work colleagues, family or friends. With supper included in the price, it's a simple and inexpensive night out, but great fun.
